Arta Guler will stay at Real Madrid, according to his manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has put rumors to rest after Arta Guler scored in his La Liga debut against Real Sociedad.
The young Turk's first-half brace proved to be the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win at Anota, leaving Los Blancos 14 points clear at the top of second-placed FC Barcelona, who host Valencia on Monday.
Asked about Guler following the full-time whistle, Ancelotti said „there's no doubt he'll be here next year,” amid rumors he could be loaned out next season.
„I liked his great attitude, fighting and fighting for every ball. He's going to be very important in the future,” Ancelotti predicted of the 19-year-old, who has „an extraordinary quality, a lot of talent”.
The Italian accepted that Guler could improve his bowling but noted that he has been training well.
„He is very young and he will be important. We are talking about a guy who has scored more goals than minutes played and that will only be a gift.”
„People thought we came here to walk around, but the players didn't,” Ancelotti said, referring to Friday night's match, where Madrid can easily take it away from Tuesday's Champions League semi-final first leg at Bayern Munich.
„I am very proud of them for their commitment, attitude, desire and enthusiasm to keep winning. They wanted to keep up the momentum and I want to thank them for that. In this sense, they are amazing,” Ancelotti added.
Asked about some of his line-up choices in Bavaria, Ancelotti said Luka Modric could „definitely” make it three in a row at the Allianz Arena, given his second successive start.
„As in recent games, he showed great physicality in the second half handling the ball very well to avoid Real Sociedad's pressure. [physical] „The situation is fantastic and of course he can play on Tuesday,” Ancelotti said.
However, once Eder Militão returns, the manager is unsure who will partner central defender Antonio Rudiger in his homeland with options other than the Brazilian including captain Nacho and pivot Aurelien Dichoumeni.
