Netflix A piece expanding its cast as it heads into its second season.
The live-action adaptation of the extensive manga and anime series added Werner Kocher, Brendan Murray and Clive Russell to its ensemble cast. Each of them is a monkey d. Play as Luffy (Inaki Godoi) and his Straw Hat Pirates.
Kocher and Murray (Warrior, raised by wolves) will play Tori and Broggy, the two captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates in the original. game of thrones Alam Russell is set to play Crocus, a wise doctor and lighthouse keeper.
The three actors join fellow newcomers Daniel Lasker, Camrus Johnson, Jassara Jaslin and David Dastmalchian, who will play members of the Baroque Works criminal organization. Series regulars McKenna, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero and Dos Skyler are set to return.
A piece premiered in August 2023 and was Netflix’s top series in the second half of 2023, based on views (total viewing time divided by running time), according to the company’s semi-annual data release. The show quickly renewed for season two just two weeks after its premiere.
Matt Owens and Joe Drax are co-showrunners and executive producers for season two. Owens had the same title in season one with Steven Maeda, who remains an executive producer but stepped away from show-running duties. Drax joins the series after serving as a writer and co-executive producer on the first season Percy Jackson and the Olympians on Disney+. A piece Created by Eiichiro Oda, Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements of Tomorrow Studios, Tetsu Fujimura and Chris Symes are also producing.
