After her monumental win, Wind made a quick stop on „Good Morning America” to talk about the iconic show's first Taiwanese winner. „Representing my country is very important to me,” he said. „Because I love Taiwan, and it's very important to me to express that on 'RuPaul's Drag Race.'”
His crowning moment of victory came by way of a lip sync battle against Saphira Crystal. During the final battle, Wind wore a coat adorned with a playful bubble tea pattern, giving a nod to his East Asian heritage. As he shed his coat, Boba released a stack of balloons symbolizing pearls and paying homage to his cultural roots.
Throughout the season, Wind often showcased his talent by calling back to his Taiwanese heritage. She often wowed the judges with her original designs and penchant for the color yellow, such as a dress decorated with dried flowers, paying homage to the Japanese dance-drama form Budo.
„I love drag because I get to create so many things, create beautiful things and wear them,” she said during an April 20 „GMA” appearance.
