Your Honour
Your Honor continues its incredibly impressive, completely unexpected run on Netflix, staying in Netflix’s top 10 since launching on May 31 a month and a half ago. No other show, not even Bridgerton I think, lasted that long on that list at the time.
The Showtime original only ran for two seasons and went into service with the more popular show Dexter. But it has turned in an incredibly dominant performance, and now, according to Showtime/CBS, it may actually be headed to Season 3.
A Deadline interview With CBS Studios president David Stauff, the title Your Honor and its stunning performance came up about bringing the show back for a potential season 3:
„We love the show and we hope it continues,” Staub said. „But it’s too early to know or say. We’d love to have a season 3, but we’re a long way off.”
It revolves around both a concept for Your Honor Season 3 and the availability of its big-name star, Bryan Cranston, in his biggest role since Breaking Bad. Here is a synopsis of the show:
„Michael Deciato is a prominent and respected New Orleans judge. When his teenage son Adam kills another teenager in an accidental confrontation, Michael encourages his son to turn himself in, but quickly changes his mind when he discovers that the boy his son killed was the son of a mob kingpin.
The show (spoilers) ends with Cranston’s character in prison, so when asked about Season 3, He is a combination of:
„My point is, I don’t know if there could or would be,” Cranston said. “There is some debate. Showtime has indicated there’s interest, and we’re very proud to learn that each episode of Season 2 has grown in viewership over the previous week. If that happens, great but that has to be some great reason to keep expanding in this world and finding out where the faiths are.
Should this happen with almost… this kind of viewership? With or without Cranston. Again, I don’t quite understand why This is The show of all shows has been hit hard on Netflix. It doesn’t have great critic scores and somewhat neutral audience scores, but… people are watching. People always see mixed review stuff, I think.
I don’t know how Your Honor season 3 is No Will happen, but since there is nothing already in the works, it could take years.
