Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently took a four-day trip to Colombia. On the final day of the tour on Sunday, the Duchess of Sussex spoke about her three-year-old daughter. While highlighting the importance of empowering young women, the Suits alum shared that Princess Lilibet has „already found her voice.”

In one of their final stops in the Colombian city of Cali, Meghan spoke with Vice President Francia Marquez in a panel discussion titled „Afro-descendant Women and Power: A Voice for Equality.” While discussing the topic of empowering women of color, Page Six emphasized the importance of young women learning how to use their voices to be heard.

„The work we do for us and with our Archiwell Foundation, and certainly the work we do as a mother, as a parent, is making sure young women feel like their voices are heard,” Megan said. The Duchess also took a moment to praise her husband Prince Harry, saying she and he „work incredibly well together as a team”.
She said that apart from girls learning how to express themselves, boys should also be taught to listen to them at a young age. „Part of the role model that I definitely try to do as a mom is to encourage our daughter, and when she was 3, she found her voice, and we’re very proud of that,” Megan said.

„Like I said, if young women and young women are encouraged to use their voices and be heard, we’re creating ripples of knowing what they’re going to do,” she continued, adding, „They’re going to create a very different environment than many of us grew up in with our voices being small.” .”
