Dua Lipa’s „Dance the Night” is officially out, and with every great song, there’s an equally great story of how it came to be.
In the case of „Dance the Night” – it was released as Greta Gerwig’s first single. Barbie The film and its soundtrack – Mark Ronson took a chance and took to Lipa’s Instagram DMs to bring the song to life.
„Hey! I’m making songs for it Barbie A movie starring Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken,” Ronson wrote on TM du Dua, according to a screenshot he shared following the track’s release. „It’s Dir. by Greta Gerwig (little girl, female bird) and it might be the funniest script I’ve ever read [redacted] Funny. There’s a big song with a whole cast of 60 people dancing – I only have the track so far because they’ve started rehearsals, but I’d love it if you’d consider co-writing and performing on it. I honestly think the film is going to be incredible.
He captioned the post, “It started with a DM. Over the moon excited that our song from this incredible movie is finally out today. Co-produced with my brothers @wyattish and @picardbrothers and written with @carolineailin @barbiethemovie.
Ronson serves as executive producer Barbie Soundtrack (Title Barbie album) songs by Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice, Lizzo, Charli XCX, PinkPantheress, Ava Max, FIFTY FIFTY and more appear on the soundtrack, which arrives on July 21 — the same day the movie hits theaters.
