Martial came on as a second-half substitute at Old Trafford on Sunday and played the final 23 minutes.
After reporting the injury after the game, assessments by United’s medical staff on Monday and Tuesday revealed a muscle tear and the 27-year-old will now not be part of Erik den Haag’s squad against City.
A A statement released by the club Tuesday said: „Anthony Martial has been ruled out of the Emirates FA Cup final against Manchester City through injury.
The France international strained his hamstring at the end of Sunday’s 2-1 win against Fulham at Old Trafford.

Martial battled injury all season and scored nine goals in 29 appearances in all competitions.
His latest injury will raise further doubts over his long-term future at Old Trafford, especially with Den Haag prioritizing a new striker in the summer transfer window.
Martial’s absence will further reduce United’s options ahead of the cup final alongside Lisandro Martinez, Toni van de Beek and Marcel Sabitzer.
However, Brazil winger Anthony is expected to be fit despite being stretchered off in last week’s 4-1 win over Chelsea. Anthony’s ankle injury is not as serious as first thought and he could face City.
