The man of the hour – Steven Meisel – may have been a no-show at his own party on Friday evening, but his name alone was enough to attract some of fashion’s biggest names to his crowd.
The renowned photographer collaborated with Zara on a collection which was presented in Soho on Friday evening. Guests include Linda Evangelista, Kaia Gerber, Joan Smalls, Candice Swanepoel, Karolina Kurkova, Veronica Webb, Alton Mason, Leah Gepete, Karen Elson, Paloma Elsaesser, Precious Lee, Coco Rocha and more.
„I started my career with Steven and we did our first Italian Vogue shoot together,” Webb said of the photographer. „It’s me, Steven, Kevin Aucoin.”
Webb brought her daughter, Molly Blue Rob, who is now a teenager, and Meisel was part of her favorite photo.
“Everything about Steven is special. He is a true artist. He has done my most emotional pictures. He took my portrait for Vogue when I was pregnant with her,” Webb gestured to her daughter.
Gerber, who has been moving more and more in Hollywood with recent roles in projects like „Bottoms,” declined requests for an interview, saying, „I can’t do an interview.”
Fresh from dancing on the Christian Siriano runway, Rocha posed for photographers in a black trenchcoat from the Zara line. He doesn’t pose for photos in his new look, smiling politely as he splashes in the rain. It’s New York Fashion Week after all: there’s always another event calling.
