Korean entertainment company CJ ENM has appointed Jung Jong-hwan as head of content, global business. He is expected to lead the development of global content production and distribution and continue the group's multi-studio approach to business.
Jung previously served as Head of Global Integration within CJ ENM. He oversaw the establishment and growth of CJ Group's global businesses, was instrumental in creating synergies across key global businesses during his previous role, managed the acquisition of Schwan's and was responsible for improving CJ's structural performance.
He was also part of the team that acquired the fifth season of CJ ENM (formerly Endeavor Content's script business) and was involved in its post-merger, and is currently a board member of the fifth season.
Stepping into the new position, effective immediately, Jung is expected to improve production capacity for unscripted content and expand CJ ENM's distribution networks both domestically and internationally as his primary task in 2024.
