It’s going to take more than a few kidney stones to put Kevin Costner down.
The Academy Award winner revealed that he „worked 10 days under an IV trip” while filming his role as Al Harrison in the 2016 biographical drama. Hidden figuresBut he „never missed a day of work.”
“I have never worked drunk on a set. I’ve never overworked a set, but I’ve been on morphine the last two weeks I’ve worked [Hidden Figures]” said Costner People, adding: “I don’t even know how. I was normal for three days and then something happened to me.
Between scenes, Costner said, „I was sitting in my trailer with a drop of morphine in my hand,” and quickly had to roll down his sleeves to cover the bruised IV. „In the end I had to. I wanted to cry, but everyone was watching, so I didn’t cry,” she said.
Costner praised working and reuniting with director Theodore Melfi as „it was magical.” Black or white? (2014) co-starred with Octavia Spencer.

Based on the book by Margot Lee Shetterly, Hidden Figures stars Spencer, Taraji P. Henson and Janelle Monáe as three African-American mathematicians: Dorothy Vaughan, Katherine Coble Johnson and Mary Jackson.
Spencer received nominations for Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards and Golden Globes for her performance, and the film also earned a Best Picture nod at the Oscars.
