Kelly Rowland arrived at Chloé’s Spring 2024 runway show for Paris Fashion Week on Thursday in a chocolate brown, black and white mixed media pattern dress. She accessorized in black and classic black shoes with a Chloé Penelope shoulder bag.
Chloé’s Spring 2024 runway show marked the last charge of the brand’s creative director Gabriela Hearst after a three-year tenure. The designer honored his South American heritage by enlisting members of Brazil’s legendary Manguera samba school to dress for Paris Fashion Week.
„When we found out six months ago that this was going to be my last solo show, I thought we should bring Manguera and put on a real festival,” Hearst told WWD during the preview. „And Paris wouldn’t know they’d been hit. We dressed them in the team colors fuchsia and green, and they were so happy they were actually going to use them in one of their matches.
Hearst is moving away from Chloé and has her own eponymous luxury label to focus on. The brand is opening a store in Los Angeles, and according to Hearst, their retail sales numbers are up as well.
Rowland’s appearance at Chloé’s runway show and Paris Fashion Week comes fresh after Rowland won Fashion Icon of the Year at Harlem’s Fashion Row Awards on September 5. The singer was dressed for the event by her stylist Colin Carter. Embraced the neutrals for the occasion. She wore a white corset dress by Ashi Studio with a long black velvet skirt and exaggerated dramatic puff sleeves.
