After winning the International Emmy Awards for his Netflix stand-up special Vir Das: The Landing on Monday, stand-up comedian Vir Das added another feather to his cap.
Recently, the actor-turned-comedian shared a random conversation with an airport security officer, which has divided netizens. On his X account, Vir Das shared a hilarious incident that happened to him at Bengaluru airport when he was returning to India with his luggage Amy. The comedian also won the award by joking the entire conversation between himself and the security officer.
„Bangalore airport security. Officer: bag me murthy hai? (Do you have idol in your bag?) Me: sir bruskar hai (sir, it’s an award) officer: acha. is me k sharp point hai? (okay. is it sharp? ) Me: Sir sharp nahi hai. Uska pank hai. (No, but it has wings.) Officer: Acha acha. Tikkaye. (Okay, show me) I open the bag. He sees the award. Lifts it. It is not sharp. Officer: Acha hai. Badai ho. Kya karte ho? (Congratulations. What are you doing?) Me: Comedian sir. Jok Sunatha Hoon. (I am a comedian. I share jokes.) Him: Jok ke liye virdu milde hain? ( Award for comedy too?) Me: Mujko b ajib laga sir. (I thought it was weird too sir!) We both laughed. I put it back in my bag. I’m going to my flight,” Vir wrote. Das at X, formerly Twitter.
