Everton are expected to reject the bid.
Sky Sports News Everton announced last month that United’s first bid had been rejected, significantly lowering their valuation of the defender, with the offer worth £35m plus add-ons, according to a source.

The center of defense has been marked as a recruitment priority for FA Cup winners Manchester United this summer, with Raphael Varane among the players to leave Old Trafford at the end of last season.
