Actor Jamie Foxx has announced he will return to work after being hospitalized earlier this year.

In April, her daughter Corrine Foxx said she had experienced a „medical issue,” but the family did not share details about her health problem.

The silence has led to speculation, the comedian said, but assured fans that he is not paralyzed or blind.

Fox thanked her social media followers for the messages of support, saying, „I can’t begin to tell you how far it’s taken me and how it’s brought me back”.

He explained that while many are eager to hear updates, fans don’t want to see him, saying, „I’ve got pipes coming out of me and trying to figure out if I’m going to make it”.

„You should see me laughing, having fun, partying, cracking jokes, making movies [or] TV show,” Foxx added.

„My sister Deitra Dixon, my daughter Corinne literally saved my life,” the 55-year-old said, adding that „they, for God’s sake, so many great medical people” were able to make the video just for her fans.

Fox said privacy was vital to him during his illness. “I can’t tell you how good it is to have your family kicking this way, you know they kept it airtight, they didn’t let anything out.

In May, Foxx had been discharged from the hospital „for weeks” and was recovering well, her daughter said. The actor is reportedly in a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was filming Netflix’s Back in Action with Cameron Diaz.

In his video for fans, Foxx said he had been „back to hell” and had „some potholes on the road to recovery.”

But he added, „I’m coming back and I’m able to work.”

The news is piling up in favor of Foxx. „Thanks for meeting you bro, really,” Idris Elba commented on Foxx’s post. „God is good,” said Viola Davis, while John Boyega and Tracee Ellis Rose also sent their love to the star.

Foxx, who stars in the recent Netflix movie They Clones Tyrone, extended his gratitude to „the people who let me work.”

In 2024, she is set to host a new music-themed game show called We Are Family on the US network Fox alongside her daughter, a 29-year-old actress, model and activist.

The couple said they were happy to work on the show.
