New Delhi, Aug 24 (PTI) Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira will arrive in India on a four-day visit from Sunday to discuss issues related to the upcoming G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro and explore ways to strengthen bilateral strategic ties.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Veera will chair the ninth India-Brazil Joint Commission meeting on August 27, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said.

During the meeting, officials said the two sides will discuss expanding the overall strategic partnership between the two countries.
„With Brazil holding the G20 presidency this year, the ministers will also discuss how the two countries can take key G20 decisions as the 'troika’ from India’s presidency last year,” the MEA said on Saturday.

The G20 group under the Brazilian G20 leadership includes India, Brazil and South Africa.
The annual G20 Summit is held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in November.
„India and Brazil share a multifaceted relationship rooted in shared values,” the MEA said.
„Foreign Minister Vieira’s upcoming visit will provide an opportunity to further strengthen the strategic partnership established in 2006 and explore new avenues of cooperation in various fields in the bilateral, regional and multilateral arenas,” it said in a statement.
