The 35-year-old said: “I didn’t hesitate for a moment when I saw how keen the club were to sign me.

„I’m starting to miss football, I’m still happy on the pitch and I’m really looking forward to doing it in Indonesia.

„I’ve had a great two weeks here and I’m looking forward to learning more about one of my native countries.

„More than 100 agents contacted me in the past months. But when push came to shove, I found it very difficult to get any offer in writing.”

Capped 30 times, Nainggolan became the biggest signing by a club in Indonesia.

„But I’m interested in waking up in the morning where I feel good, and at 29, it’s not for me to take back all the respect I’ve earned in Italy for 12 years.

“There are a lot of elements — a lot to evaluate.

„I stayed in Italy with Roma because I wanted to finish in the best possible way. Manchester was there too.
