Thai star Chinchamuth Klinmee is determined to go for another crack at the Region Iersel One Lightweight Muay Thai World Title.
„Aquaman” can take a big step toward that goal when he faces his former foe „Lethal” Liam Nolan at One Fight Night 16: Hagerty vs. Andrade on November 3 in US prime time. .
The upcoming bout in Bangkok will be a rematch of their July 2022 clash, in which Chinsamud scored a highlight-reel, one-punch knockout of the Brit.
It was the Thai’s second straight KO and catapulted him into a world title showdown with Eersel for the division’s inaugural gold. However, he would drop a narrow split decision in that epic October 2022 battle.
However, the 27-year-old’s performance was enough to earn him an immediate rematch five months later, but during that time, he suffered a fourth-round knockout loss to Ersel.
The latter defeat sent Sinzamut back into the ranks of rivals – and it hit him incredibly hard:
„After I lost that second fight, I was so sad. I didn’t even want to leave the house. It was disappointing. It took a while to feel better.
Instead of wallowing in his sadness, Sinzamuth picked himself up, returned to the practice room and quickly returned to winning ways.
Last July, he blasted Brazilian scrapper Victor Teixeira with a sensational knockout, reminding fans that he is one of Muay Thai’s most powerful pound-for-pound strikers.
Looking back on a tough time following his second loss with Irzel, „Aquaman” says he saw renewed motivation from the kids watching him:
„It took time, but eventually I realized that I didn’t want to give up. I looked at my nephews and the kids at my gym. I always tell them not to give up. If I don’t get back up and try again, who am I to tell them these things? I want to be a good role model for them. I think.
’Eersal has become my motivation’ – Sinzamud aims for world title trilogy
Now seven months removed from his second loss to Region Iersel, Sinzamut Glinmee is in good spirits and ready to do whatever it takes to get a world title trilogy fight.
Despite crushing failures, „Aquaman” refuses to live in the past:
„I couldn’t have done anything differently. I gave it my all. I’ll take my shot. I have no regrets. It’s all about moving forward now.
Of course, Sinzamut is not past Liam Nolan and the serious threats he poses in their rematch.
At the same time, his ultimate goal is another date with Eersel and a chance to finally win a championship gold at 26 pounds.
The mother added:
“Region Irsal has become my motivation. I want to win against him. I know it’s hard. However, he became my goal, my challenge and my purpose to train hard every day. I would like to meet him again if possible.
