Mansiha Talash: Locked in a cell with 22 others
Braking is a sport that allows freedom and expression.
But when Talash decided to leave his homeland in search of a better life, he found himself confined to a room in Pakistan.
At 22, away from her family, space was limited — so for a year, she couldn’t practice the one thing that helped her escape her own reality.
„In Pakistan, I couldn’t train because you couldn’t leave the house,” Manziha explained.
„I think [the biggest challenge] leaves your country and lives in another country you do not know; Different people, with different cultures. Life without family is very difficult.
„I thought every day about my family and my brother – even though he was with me, he was a minor and had to be with his mother, so I had to be a mother to him.”
It was a lot for a teenager to take on, but she did it anyway – which speaks volumes for Manziha’s character and willingness to help others.
Eventually, he would move to Spain, where his new life really began soon with family members.
Now she wants to spread the message of hope; A mother told her.
„Don’t listen to anyone – it’s your life, it’s your future, you have to do what you want.”
