Etihad Airways is doubling daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Kuala Lumpur, starting January 15, 2024. The new airline will offer guests 14 weekly flights between the two cities.

Kuala Lumpur, the dazzling capital of Malaysia, is renowned for its mesmerizing skyline dominated by its iconic Petronas Twin Towers. The city offers a rich blend of Malay, Chinese and Indian cultures, resulting in a diverse culinary scene, vibrant markets and an abundance of cultural attractions.
Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi entices travelers with everything from its architectural masterpiece, Louvre Abu Dhabi, to adrenaline-filled adventures at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
Both daily frequencies will be operated on state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft and in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity.
The combined double daily flights will give Etihad 425,000 seats annually between Abu Dhabi and Kuala Lumpur, representing a 75% increase in capacity year-on-year.
The additional frequency will also increase the total annual cargo capacity, open up more business opportunities and support the growth of bilateral trade.
With Etihad offering 77 weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Kuala Lumpur (14 weekly flights), Bangkok (14), Phuket (14), Manila, customers will enjoy greater choice and connectivity between Abu Dhabi and Southeast Asia this winter. (14), Jakarta (14), and Singapore (7).
The announcement comes as the airline repositions an ambitious network for sustainable expansion while improving Abu Dhabi’s connections to global markets and boosting the capital’s tourism sector. Etihad’s new winter schedule includes new destinations, increased flight frequencies and more convenient departure times.
