Dwayne Johnson sings 'Mona' hit for toddler with cerebral palsy

Dwayne „The Rock” Johnson uses his powers as Maui.

The actor took to X (formerly known as Twitter) on Sunday (March 24) to share a soulful video of him singing his Hot 100 hit. Mona, „You're Welcome” to Naomi, a toddler currently hospitalized with a brain disorder. Johnson starred as the South Pacific mermaid Maui in the popular Disney film.

„Join me for a song,” Johnson captioned the video. “Naomi is 2 years old and is battling brain damage in the hospital. Her wish was to send her a video of Maui singing 'You're Welcome'.

She continued, „As we know, there is a lot of noise and negativity, but I deeply believe that positive energy, light and mental health can make a real difference in people's lives – especially when it comes to our children who are struggling. Naomi I hope this song puts a smile on your face, Mama Maui to you. Will sing 'You're Welcome' anytime. Thanks to everyone watching for sending your hearts and positive light.”

The catchy song from the popular Disney movie made Johnson's first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100, debuting at number 83. „To the waves, the sun, the sky, what can I say but 'You're welcome.'/ Hey, it's okay, it's okay/ You're welcome/ I'm just a normal Demi boy,” he sings on the funky hook.
