He lives in Brisbane with his family while filming Ron Howard’s survival thriller Eden.
Daniel Bruhl was spotted enjoying some quality time with his wife and kids on Saturday as he enjoyed a well-deserved break from the set.
The Spanish-German actor, 45, was spotted leaving his hotel with his wife Felicidas Romboldt and their two young sons.
Daniel was dressed perfectly for the Queensland summer weather, wearing a loose white t-shirt, blue shorts, sneakers and long socks.
He completed his look with a blue hat worn backwards and a pair of sunglasses.
His former model wife meanwhile wore a white and yellow striped crop top, khaki mini skirt, sneakers and crew socks.
The couple were seen helping their children into the back of the car before placing a number of shopping bags, including one emblazoned with the Rebel Sports logo, into the boot.
It comes as Daniel continues filming Eden with an A-list cast of Sidney Sweeney, Vanessa Kirby, Ana de Armas and Jude Law.

The thriller’s producers – which include Howard – told Deadline last month in October that the film 'explores the human condition in ways that are unexpected, absurd, funny, seductive, but above all thrilling and deeply suspenseful.’
Both Sweeney and Kirby were replaced by actresses Daisy Edgar-Jones and Alicia Vikander, who had originally starred in the project.
Noah Pink wrote the screenplay for Eden – which was originally titled: Origins of Life.
According to Deadline, Hans Zimmer will score the film, and it will be the composer’s 10th collaboration with Ron Howard.
During an interview Business News Australia Earlier this month, Ron expressed his excitement about returning to Queensland – where he filmed Thirteen Lives.
“I have always been impressed by the professionalism and creative spirit of the Australian film community,” the filmmaker said.
„My experience with our Queensland team at Thirteen Lives only confirmed that more,” he added.
’I am excited about the opportunity to bring Eden to Queensland and continue the collaboration.’
