PARIS, Sept 30 (Reuters) – Copernicus designers Sébastien Maier and Arnaud Wieland staged their fashion week outing in a sprawling underground acoustic research center in the heart of Paris, showcasing sporty sophisticated styles with technological gadgets, the human AI back. Folds.
A wall of loudspeakers alternately signals the start of the show. Models including Naomi Campbell appeared on the runway, moving swiftly in loose-fitting dresses, sheer fitted dresses, bra tops and jeans.
„Clothes are designed to be easy to wear,” the show notes, with designers dressing up open-back dresses and bag styles with cinched trouser hems for a leggy look.
The soundtrack bounced around the room, a medley of sounds of moving fabric, and at one point, the dingle of a triangular instrument – a dress with triangular cutouts – was shown.
Adding to the show’s futuristic bent were sportswear and flat, square-toed sneakers in collaboration with Puma, some models complete with the label’s swipe-back CD player and headphones.
Founded in 2013, the label is known for creating buzz during Paris Fashion Week, painting a dress on Bella Hadid last year, and more recently, sending robotic dogs down the runway.
Paris Fashion Week runs until October 3 and features brands including Chanel, Hermès and LVMH-owned Louis Vuitton.
