Clarkson delivers 1,000 beers by tractor to the Alpine F1 team

LONDON, June 12 (Reuters) – Television personality and celebrity farmer Jeremy Clarkson made good on a promise to the Alpine Formula One team on Monday by arriving at the factory in a Lamborghini tractor loaded with 1,000 beers.

Clarkson, the former Top Gear host whose farming documentary series became a hit on Amazon, promised on Twitter that if Esteban Ocon finished on the podium at the Monaco Grand Prix last month, he would buy everyone a pint of his home-brewed beer.

The tweet reached 5.5 million views by Monday.

The Frenchman finished third and was at the Enstone factory as Clarkson literally delivered his words from the back of a trailer.

„Some say he won’t deliver 1,000 beers in a tweet. And he won’t get back on his tractor. We know he’s called @JeremyClarkson,” Alpine said on social media. Britain’s top gear catchphrases.

„Never drink and tweet, because I’ve done it myself here,” Clarkson told the team staff.
