Armando Broza was spotted back in Chelsea training to give Mauricio Pochettino a huge boost over Brentford. The 22-year-old suffered a setback after missing the weekend’s clash against Arsenal with an early return from international duty with Albania, having missed the past 10 months with a serious knee injury.
Before the game, Pochettino revealed his injury: „We have to assess Axel DeSasi, we have to assess Nico Jackson, we have to assess Reece. Broza is out because he has a rotation problem in his knee but it’s another knee, not one. It’s a problem from the past. We have There are a few players that we have to evaluate to see if they are there, if they can play, if they are on the bench or out of the list altogether.”
As Pochettino revealed, while Reece James, Disasi, Badiashaile and Jackson made the bench, Broza missed out, forcing Cole Palmer into the Chelsea false nine role. Lacking a natural striker, the versatile 21-year-old caused many problems for Arsenal when he scored his second goal.
Nevertheless, Pochettino will surely be delighted with both Jackson and Broza fully fit and the latter captured taking part in team sessions at Cobham courtesy of recent training footage. Padiyashil and Levi Colville, who could easily become Chelsea’s next centre-back partnership, were laughing and chatting away.
