Carlton Palmer has urged Leicester City to „move quickly” to place a £40m bid on Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall amid interest from Manchester United, as the Foxes are likely to „fend off” prospective buyers.
There is no doubt that Dewbsury-Hall is one of the best players in the Championship, if only he was the best. The Leicester midfielder has 10 goals and 12 assists in the second tier this season.
If the Foxes are to go up, there's no reason the glowing form can't continue.
If they don't return to top spot – they are now level on points with Leeds at the top of the table – Man Utd have the chance to steal their superstar.
Leicester are asking for £40m
Interest from the Red Devils It was announced recently, and Palmer slapped a £40m price tag on the Foxes, so at least if they don't go up, they'll get a decent fee for a player who should be playing top-flight football.
„Leicester should move quickly to offer him a £40m price tag because he has been integrated so far this season and the club want to get back to the Premier League,” he said. Football League World.
„Leicester will be hoping they get promoted and they can fend off potential buyers and keep a very important player at the football club.”
Foxes are in good condition
If they go up, Palmer feels that Leicester are better off keeping Dewsbury-Hall, and if they do have to sell him, it means they could get a good deal out of his contract situation.
„The 25-year-old, who plays for his hometown club, came out recently and said he is in no rush to leave, which is great news for the manager, and his plan is to see Leicester get promoted back to the Premier League,” added Palmer.
„His contract doesn't expire until the summer of 2027, so Leicester are in the driver's seat where the player has to make a transfer.”
The Foxes will surely be hoping to go up and it would be a surprise if Dewsbury-Hall were to leave in that event, but unless they somehow fall down and can't get back to Brame, he is sure to leave. He has proven that he is too good to stay in the Championship for another year.
