'Animal Control' has been renewed for Season 3 on Fox ahead of its Season 2 debut

„Animal Control” Renewed for Season 3 on Fox

The news comes ahead of the season 2 premiere of the single-camera comedy. The second season is scheduled to premiere on March 6.

As the name suggests, the series focuses on a group of animal control workers. Joel McHale leads the cast alongside Michael Rowland, Vella Lovell, Ravi Patel, Grace Palmer and Jerry Dee. Season 2 guest stars include Ken Jeong, Sarah Salke, and Crystal Smith in the recurring role of Bettany.

„Animal Control” comes from writers and executive producers Bob Fisher, Rob Greenberg and Dan Sterling. All three executive produce, with Jack Fuller and Todd Quill of Jax Media and McHale serving as showrunner. Fox Entertainment Studios produces the series. The show is Fox's first fully franchised live-action comedy. The series is distributed by Fox Entertainment Global. It was sold to Channel 4 in the UK, Foxtel's FOX8 in Australia, CBC and CBC Gem in Canada, and TVNZ in New Zealand.

„'Animal Control' is an incredibly irreverent series that embodies everything audiences have come to expect from a Fox comedy,” said Michael Thorne, President of Scripted Programming, Fox Entertainment. „There's an amazing momentum behind it, and we were so impressed with the work Joel, Bob, Rob, Dan, Todd, Jake and the entire cast delivered in season two that we wanted to reward them and give fans even more of this special show next season.”

For Fox, the series premiere was the network's most-streamed debut in network history, and the most-streamed comedy episode in network history. It averaged 5.2 million multi-platform viewers, including 2.6 million on Hulu.
