Alisson reveals he rejected Saudi interest: 'Happy at Liverpool’

Liverpool goalkeeper Allison Becker While he is still „really happy” at the Premier League club, he revealed he rejected interest from the cash-rich Saudi Pro League this summer.

„I want to finish my contract here or make a new one. I’m very happy here. My family is happy,” said Alisson, who has signed a contract until 2026. The interview was published on Saturday.

„I never got to the point where I was talking about wages and things like that. It was a curiosity, but when you hear about the numbers other players are getting you get a little bit impressed. That’s normal.

„At the end of the day, you play football for the love of it, it’s what you want to do, but it’s our career and we want to use the years we have to make the most of it. I think I’m open. Personally, it’s not right now.

„While my contract is still here, I will focus here on negotiating for the benefit of the club [to sell] Me, that would be a different conversation.

“Once the interest comes from the Saudis, I cannot close the big deal [without thinking]. But my decision is always to stay and focus on what we can achieve, this new beginning and this new beginning, and I’m really excited about that. We’re starting fresh with new energy and looking forward to what this season has in store for us.”

After spending his entire Liverpool career under Jurgen Klopp, Alisson said he has been impressed by new manager Arne Slott since the Dutch coach took over this summer.
