Bukayo Saga heads the list of Arsenal stars who have unveiled their new away kit for the 2023-24 season.
The new strip celebrates the club’s Islington roots as they switch from last season’s black and bronze design to an eye-catching yellow kit with black wavy stripes – inspired by the map of the London borough.
This season marks 20 years since the Gunners last won the Premier League title, and Mikel Arteta’s side will be hoping they can wear the new kit to take title glory this season.
As usual, the Gunners didn’t go easy on the promotional campaign for the new kit, releasing a video inviting Arsenal stars and celebrities including Martin Kemp and British singer Mabel.
It will be worn for the first time when Wayne Rooney’s MLS All-Stars play in Washington DC on Wednesday.
Saga, Martin Odegaard, William Saliba, Gabriel Martinelli and Oleksandr Zinchenko were seen sporting the new kit and featured in a video – they were listening to a local Islington radio station – with a song by Arsenal-supporting UK rap artist Antslive.
Injured Lions star Beth Mead posed for a portrait in the campaign and is keen to return to action as quickly as she can next season – following the disappointment of missing out on the World Cup due to an ACL injury.
They unveiled their new home strip in May, designed to mark the 20th anniversary of the famous Invincibles season which saw the Gunners lose one match under manager Arsene Wenger in their pursuit of the Premier League title.
The shirt features a faded lightning bolt pattern, and the sleeves and club badge have been updated with gold detailing to commemorate the championship-winning achievement.
Authentic versions of the new kit can be bought online for £110 for adults. A replica version of the kit is available for £80 and £55 for children.
A similar version of the strip with the same design was leaked on social media in May.
Arsenal have been busy this summer with the additions of Kai Howards, Declan Rice and Jurion Timber.
Arteta’s team is out on Sunday ahead of their first match against the MLS All-Stars in Washington DC on Wednesday.
They will then play Manchester United at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Saturday – the first time the teams have played on American soil.
The final leg of their US tour will be in Los Angeles on July 26, when they take on Barcelona at Sofi Stadium – home of the LA Rams.
