’I’m not too stressed’ – Kevin Magnussen insists he’ll be 'calm’ whether his future is in or out of F1

„I don’t think I’m stressed right now about finding out what my future will be. I still have two seats in Formula 1, it’s still ongoing, but what I’ll do if I don’t get a seat in Formula 1, I’m not too stressed. [about it].”

Despite finishing last in the 2023 constructors’ standings, Magnussen will leave Haas for an improved level of performance from the team, which has moved up to seventh ahead of Alpine, Williams and Giggs Sauber.

If Haas reverses that position in the second half of the season, it would mark their highest classification since 2018 when he was paired with Romain Grosjean during his first spell in the first team.

Asked if Haas’ recent progress had surprised him, Magnussen commented: „We were in a better position than we are now – I don’t think it’s the most competitive we’ve ever been.

„In 2018, we were still competitive, you know, the fifth best team. Now we’re seventh best, sometimes we’re fighting with sixth best, but in 2018 we were fifth best.
