NEW DELHI: BJP, Congress and others on Sunday Opposition parties were a part of Conspiracy to create Financial instability and confusion in India, rejected Hindenburg’s charge against the party SEBI Chairman in an attempt to discredit the Financial Monitoring Committee.
BJP Spokesperson Sudanshu Trivedi said: The short selling company made serious allegations last year. Adani GroupIt faced investigation by Indian intelligence agencies. „The opposition is echoing its charge and the conspiracy is now clear that it wants to create chaos and instability, especially in the financial sector,” he said.
Noting that many such critical reports coming out of foreign soil were published before or during the parliamentary sessions, he said that the opposition leaders knew that the report was coming during the parliamentary session. The Monsoon Session of Parliament was scheduled to end on Monday, but was shortened to one working day and ended on Friday.
BJP leader and former Union minister Rajiv Chandrasekhar said Hindenburg had attacked SEBI in „apparent partnership” with the Congress and had an ominous motive. „This is destabilizing and devaluing one of the world’s strongest financial systems and creating chaos in the world’s fastest-growing economy,” he told X.
“I have often said that many global powers with the help of the Congress dynasty want to slow down or accelerate India’s rise. We will not allow them,” he said.
Hindenburg Research on Saturday launched a broadside against Sebi chief Madhabi Buch, alleging that she and her husband had stakes in obscure foreign funds used in the Adani money laundering scandal. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also said that the Congress was behind the Hindenburg Report.
„The work of the Congress is only to spread anarchy and entangle the country in controversial matters,” he said. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP workers were carrying the „torch of development and progress” while the Congress had been trying to mislead the country and keep it in the dark for years.
The Adani Group also said the allegations were based on malicious and selective manipulation of public information. The company said it has no business relationship with the Sebi chairman or her husband.
