Charlie is back at No. 1 in the UK following the surprise release of his latest offering „Brat” – a remix of „Guess” featuring Billie Eilish. 1 place.
As „Brad” moves to No. 2 on the Official Albums Chart, „Guess” featuring Billie Eilish takes the top spot, marking the Essex-Brit singer’s first No. 1 song as a lead artist on the Official Singles Chart. It appeared at number one after icon pop and Charlie’s collaboration „I Love It” topped the chart back in 2013.
Charlie was also recognized as the first British artist to top the Official Singles Chart this year. American acts (and an Irish act – Oh yesHoosier) often topped the list, with Sabrina Carpenter being the former No. 1 holder. The UK Singles Chart mirrored the United States chart for much of the year, with previous No. 1s from Beyoncé („Texas Hold 'Em”), Noah Kahan („Stick Season”) and Benson Boone („Pretty Things”). ) and Taylor Swift (feat. Post Malone „Fortnight”), among others.
The „Guess” remix was released on August 1, and the accompanying Aydan Jamiri-directed music video sees Charlie and Billy climbing a mountain of underwear. „No Time to Die” (2020) and „What Was I Made For?” It was Billy’s third number 1 single after (2023)
For the rest of the year, Charlie will be on his massive headlining tour across the UK in November and December. He will join longtime collaborator Troye Sivan for the US arena tour „Charlie XCX & Troye Sivan Present: Sweat” beginning September 14th at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Mich. It will close Oct. 23 at the Climate Commitment Arena in Seattle, Wash.
