Well, whose boy? Ariana Grande enlists legends Brandy and Monica for her remix Eternal sunshine The song, „The Boy Is Mine,” was released on Friday (June 21).
The two R&B superstars spent 13 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1998 with the original „The Boy Is Mine.” Grande announced the remix earlier in the week and co-wrote it Instagram Teaser For the song: „I can’t believe it’s …….. (I don’t know if it’s gonna be out),” before continuing, „My heartfelt thanks to Brandi and Monica, not just for joining. I am for this moment, but for your generosity, your kindness, and the countless ways you have encouraged me. I can’t tell you how much this means to me. This is a celebration of both of you and the impact you have had on every singer, voice producer, musician, and artist creating today.
Brandy and Monica also made surprise cameos in the „7 Rings” singer’s „The Boy Is Mine” music video, which also stars Ben Badley opposite Grande’s Catwoman-esque leading lady. „The Boy Is Mine” is officially the third single off Eternal sunshine, followed by the Billboard Hot 100-toppers “Yeah, More?” and „We can’t be friends.”
