Now in its fourth year, 1 ticket, 1 tree Cathay Pacific's Southeast Asia initiative underlines its commitment to supporting local communities, restoring local habitats and climate resilience.

Cathay Pacific will plant a tree in the region for every ticket purchased from Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia during a certain campaign period. To kickstart 1 ticket, 1 tree This year, 4,000 trees were planted on March 23 at Bangpu Nature Education Center in Samut Prakan, Thailand. The remaining trees will be gradually planted in mangrove forests across Southeast Asia over the coming months.

Cathay continues to work with local environmental and community partners to restore mangroves in the region. In Thailand, for example, half of the 4,000 trees were provided by KTC (Krungthai Card), who joined Cathay's efforts in Thailand for the first time this year. Since 2021, Cathay has partnered with 13 local partners to plant trees to ensure they grow and thrive.

Dominique Perrett, Regional General Manager, Southeast Asia, Cathay, said: „Giving back to the communities we serve is an important part of this initiative as we collaborate with our customers and business partners to protect the coastal ecosystems of the many local communities that depend on them for food, security and income in the region.
