PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Sidney Crosby has reached another career milestone with his 19th straight point-per-season.
Crosby reached that milestone Monday night with two goals and a team assist New York beat the Rangers 5-2 at Madison Square GardenPutting the Penguins captain in an exclusive club.

Crosby and Wayne Gretzky are now the only two players in NHL history to reach that milestone.
Only nine players in NHL history have recorded 15 or more points in a single season, and three of them have done so exclusively in a Penguins uniform, joining Mario Lemieux and Evgeni Malkin on the list.
Crosby was asked after the game if he planned to answer Wayne Gretzky or his parents first about building the landmark first.
„Oh, I don't know,” Crosby said with a laugh. „That puts a lot of pressure on me there. Whoever texts first, maybe?… You can always be in that company, and that's really cool.”
In addition to the point-per-game milestone, Sidney Crosby has scored 30 goals for the 12th time in his career this season and is just three assists away from reaching 1,000 for his career.
„It doesn't surprise me,” Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan said. „All these milestones he's achieved at this point, he's one of the greatest players of all time – not just his generation. More evidence that he's in elite company in all these categories.”
