Toss Afghanistan Batting selection vs Sri Lanka
Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat in the third and final T20I at Dambulla on Wednesday. After winning the first two games, Sri Lanka have already sealed the series and will be looking for a clean sweep of the entire multi-format series, having won the previous ODIs and the one-off Test as well.
As for the pitch and conditions, the rain is expected and the wind blows across the stadium. It's the same track used in the previous two games. „The pitch is a bit patchy,” said Tino Maoyo while reporting on the pitch. „One thing for sure is the dryness beneath the surface. Other than that there is a bit more toughness. I expect these patchy areas to dry out a bit, have some grass, and get some. In turn, we haven't seen much.
„The batting conditions are very good, so the seamers have picked up to counter the speed of the ball. But what's important is the length you bowl when you pick up that speed. If they get short of that they've been sent in. So that's something the bowlers have to think about.
