Master classes
The Philippines' Quezon City Film Commission (QCFC) is partnering with European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs (EAVE) to launch the first EAVE Marketing Masterclasses, aimed at the region's growing film industry and its active participation in the global market. The initiative will select 30 Filipino and Asian producers and film industry professionals. Interested applicants should be prepared to cover all air travel and accommodation requirements for their visit to the Philippines.
Based in Luxembourg, EAVE is a professional training, project development and networking organization for audiovisual producers. The masterclasses align with QCFC's QC Screen Academy program, which aims to train aspiring filmmakers and professionals, develop local talent, discover creative storytellers and develop the local workforce to be globally competitive.
“While Filipino and Southeast Asian filmmakers are known for their compelling and daring stories, there is a gap in understanding when it comes to identifying the right audiences and platforms for our films. A well-designed movie marketing campaign can be the deciding factor between success and failure. In this day and age, when filmmaking needs to be more sustainable and profitable, emphasizing the importance of the business side of film has never been more important,” said Lisa Tino, Executive Director of QCFC.
This year's Eve Marketing Masterclasses will be held on March 16-17 in Quezon City, Philippines.
