„Daredevil: Reborn” has undergone a major creative overhaul, Variety Confirmed.
Marvel Studios’ Disney+ series recently parted ways with head writers Chris Ort and Matt Gorman and is currently looking for new writers to revive the show. Art and Corman will still be credited as executive producers.
Marvel also released the directors for the remaining episodes of the season, less than half of the series’ 18-episode order before the start of the SAG-AFTRA strike. Some elements of already filmed material will be used going forward, but Marvel wants to take the show in a new creative direction.
„Daredevil” has yet to return to full-scale production because the cast is on strike, although they are in talks with studios to return to work. The Writers Guild of America recently ended their strike with the studios, with 99% of the guild’s members voting to ratify the deal earlier this week.
Charlie Cox will return as Daredevil’s Matt Murdock in the new series alongside Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk. The two previously starred together in the Marvel-Netflix series „Daredevil” from 2015-2018.
Marvel Studios’ recent TV releases include “Loki” Season 2, which garnered 10.9 million views in its first three days on Disney+. Samuel L. as Nick Fury. „Secret Invasion,” starring Jackson, was released back in June. Shows like “Echo” starring Alaqua Cox and “Agatha: Darkhold Diaries” starring Kathryn Hahn are expected to debut in 2024.
The Hollywood Reporter first reported the „Daredevil” news.
