Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt recently said that he shares a wonderful bond with former India opener Gautam Gambhir, adding that the two even went out for meals in Karachi.
Bhatt suggested that he and Gambhir had many discussions about cricket. He opined that the cricketer-turned-politician is very knowledgeable and always focused on his analysis.
„Yes, Gautam Gambhir and I are very good friends. We went out for food in Karachi and we had a good discussion. He makes a lot of sense when he talks about cricket. Some players are very serious on the field, and he is one of them. That’s okay, because every player has his own attitude,” – Budd said in his latest YouTube video (34:09).
Gautam Gambhir has criticized Pakistan on several occasions. During his playing days, he always engaged in heated exchanges with former Pakistan players like Kamran Akmal and Shahid Afridi.
„He turns matches from anywhere” – Salman Butt on Virat Kohli
In the same video, a fan asked Salman Bhatt to pick a batsman to watch out for in the 2023 World Cup, naming Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as three options.
The 39-year-old said that with all three batsmen in terrific form at the moment, Kohli has the ability to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Added Bud (15:57):
„It’s difficult to pick one of the three, they are all in good form. However, I don’t think any other specialist would pick better than Kohli. God has given him such skills. Nowhere. But they are all equally dangerous.”
India begin their 2023 World Cup campaign against Australia on Sunday, October 8 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
