Superstar Rajinikanth’s recently released film 'Jailor’ is setting records at the box office ₹600 crores worldwide (including net domestic box office ₹320 crores) is reported Business today.
The Tamil superstar has a lot of respect and appeal among his fans all over the world. To celebrate the success of Jailer, Sun Pictures president Kalanithi Maran gifted Superstar Rajinikanth a BMW and a share of the film’s profits.

On September 1 Sun Pictures shared a post for X in which chairman Kalanithi Maran gifted Rajinikanth a brand new BMW X7. „#JailerSuccessCelebrations continue! Superstar @rajinikanth was shown various car models and Mr.Kalanithi Maran handed over the keys to the brand new BMW X7 chosen by the Superstar,” the post’s caption read.
Apart from this, Maran, who met Rajinikanth at his Boes Garden residence in Chennai, handed Rajinikanth a check for an undisclosed amount.
As per the details, the new X7 — a gift to Rajinikanth — has been priced ₹1.22 crore ₹1.25 crore (ex-showroom)> It is available in two variants: xDrive40i M Sport and xDrive40d M Sport.
Sharing pictures of the joyous occasion, Sun Pictures’ official X (formerly Twitter) handle wrote, „Mr. Kalanidhi Maran met Superstar @rajinikanth and presented a check celebrating the historic success of #jailer (sic).”
Also in 2017, the producer of 'Kabali’ gifted Rajinikanth a Rolls Royce Phantom after learning that he was a diehard fan of cars.
Jailer Collection:
So far the jailer has collected ₹600 crores worldwide (including net domestic box office ₹320 crore). On 31st August, the film opened in theaters on 22nd ₹2.40 crore at the domestic box office and now has a 22-day collection ₹328.20 crores.
Jailer releases in theaters worldwide on August 10. It was directed by Nelson and centered on retired jailer Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vinayakan, Vasanth Ravi and Yogi Babu are playing the lead roles in the film.
